General Purpose

Responsible for monitoring brand social media and third-party review platforms, encouraging guest engagement, and resolving guest concerns online. Will also be responsible for identifying and reporting guest experience trends and ensuring guests are being responded to in a timely manner. Overall, responsible for brand's online reputation.

Essential Duties (may include, but not limited to):

  • Social Media Strategy & Execution (70%)
    • Work with Social Media & CRM Strategist to plan and develop content for all social media channels.
    • Be the eyes and ears of the Sonny's brand online by monitoring, commenting and engaging in conversations while escalating issues and potential crisis' to internal teams as needed.
    • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
    • Develop 'voices' for each channel that are relevant, on-brand and engaging.
    • "Wows" guests with exceptional customer care and surprise and delights.
    • Evaluate emerging social media channels and tools, remaining current on trends.
  • Reporting & Analytics (15%)
    • Collaboratively determine KPI's with the Social Media & CRM Strategist and develop regular reports that analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  • Blog Calendar & Content Development (15%)
    • Oversees the Sonny's blog calendar and develops written and visual content as needed.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 2-3 Years previous experience in Social Media; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience performing tasks found in the Essential Duties above.

  • Knowledge of Sonny's Brand and the restaurant industry.
  • Knowledge of social media channels, tools, and other technology as it applies to the position.
  • Online and social media fluency.
